” The feet are our base of support, yet we rarely train them as much as the rest of the body. They play an important role in balance and stability as well as in muscle connection for the lower limbs.

In this 3-hour workshop we will look at:

  • the different arches of the foot and their importance in stability and mobility
  • the bones and the intrinsic muscles of the foot
  • how proprioceptive training for the feet can be implemented in a Pilates session and the importance of closed and open kinetic chain training
  • the effects of foot injuries and pathologies
  • strength and mobility exercises for the feet
After this workshop you will be able to understand the mechanics of the foot and how to use the muscles of the feet to support the entire body in functional movement patterns “
